One of the greatest things about new York is that sometimes things just happen in perfect order and your day becomes exciting.
I was running errands yesterday, buying batteries, a water filter, a birthday present for my sister when as I was walking into a barnes & noble and one of those street sellers starting walking up to me. I, of course, normally shoe them away but this person caught my eye. She said "Would you like to get an autograph copy of Giving by Bill Clinton?" Well yes. So I got a bracelet and went inside. Sat down in the line...... Read a Salmon Rushdie novel and waited for a couple hours.
I then got questioned, security checked, and waited in line again.
I got to the front of the line, Bill Clinton shook my hand, I said thank you for all the work you've done, he smiled and said thank you and it was done.
And now I have an autographed copy of Giving...
By the way: I get it now. His eyes are REALLY piercing. Perfect sky blue eyes that make you feel as if there are only two people in the room when he looks at you. Now I get it.
